Kennel History

I purchased my first Golden Retriever in 1982 from Margaret Evans. Tosca, Vanrose Rhapsody, joined out family to be our loved family pet. It took me no time at all to fall in love with this gentle, intelligent and loyal breed. I was soon showing Tosca in Obedience, breed showing and then field trialing. I was now fully hooked and had my first litter in 1985. Since then we have shared our lives with many loveable Goldens and they have stayed with us from puppy-hood through their twilight years. In 1991 and 1993 our sons Graham and Alister joined the family. Graham has the same passion as I for Goldens and accompanies me to the shows. I also have a long suffering husband, Stephen, who loves our Goldens and likens our lives to living in a zoo, but we all enjoy living on our lifestyle block in Pyes Pa, Tauranga. After being my right hand man for several years at the shows and proving to be an invaluable partner, Graham became my official kennel partner.

 2020 marks Cambermere’s 35th year. We are proud of what we have accomplished in the last 35 years and have more exciting plans in place for the future.
